Why Tettra?
Tettra is the only wiki and knowledge management system built from the ground up to work with Slack. Knowledge sharing works best when your teammates can work in their normal workflows to share and find information. Here are some of the ways we integrate with Slack.
How Tettra works with Slack

Answer questions quickly with Tettra content
When questions get asked in Slack, use the Slack integration to send a new or existing answer. Send notifications for new and updated pages so your team reads what you write.

Find, create, and request knowledge right in Slack
Tettra allows you to find existing knowledge, create new knowledge, and request knowledge from your teammates without ever leaving Slack with slash commands. Slash Commands are special text based commands you can use in Slack. Tettra’s slash command works in any slack channel or 1-on-1 chat.
- /tettra find…
for page search - /tettra new…
for creating new pages - /tettra request @teammate
for requesting a new page from a teammate
For more information on searching with our slash command check out our help center article.

Keep your team notified of changes
Without notifying your team, it’s hard for them to find new and interesting knowledge. To keep your team better engaged with your wiki content, you can set up Slack notifications. Right now, you can set up notifications for:
- New and updated pages
Comments on pages
New and closed page requests
We also notify the people who a page or request has been assigned to. Here’s an example of a request notification:

Log in with Slack
Managing accounts when employees join and leave your company can be a real hassle. We make it easy by hooking right into Slack’s account system. When you add someone to Slack, they’ll have access to Tettra and when you remove them from Slack, they won’t.
